Senate APPROVES FUNDING for TSA, DHS — but leaves out immigration enforcement

The Senate unanimously approved Homeland Security funding early Friday morning to pay Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents and most other agencies, but left out immigration enforcement operations. The 42-day stalemate had caused long lines at airports and left workers without pay.

The deal now goes to the House, where lawmakers are expected to consider it Friday before departing for a two-week Easter recess.

The vote came after President Donald Trump signed an emergency order Thursday to ensure TSA agents are paid, blaming Democrats for “recklessly creating a true National Crisis.”
