'THIS HAS BEEN GROSSLY ABUSED': Johnson reacts to birthright citizen ruling

GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson reacted to the birthright citizenship ruling in real time on Tuesday, as the ruling came down while he was speaking at a news conference.

“I do think that this has been grossly abused in recent years,” Johnson told reporters.

“It's one of those things that was intended to serve a noble, important purpose and has been, thwarted and, and overused and abused. And so I'm sure that we'll continue to look at that,” he added.
