Supreme Court rules on birthright citizenship, women's sports, and campaign finance

The Supreme Court has concluded its term with a series of closely watched rulings that could shape immigration policy, women's sports, and political campaigns for years to come.

Among the Court's most significant decisions was its ruling on President Donald Trump's executive order seeking to limit birthright citizenship. The Court held that the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment continues to guarantee U.S. citizenship to children born in the United States regardless of their parents' immigration status, rejecting the administration's attempt to narrow that interpretation through executive action.

Speaking with The National News Desk, constitutional attorney and Judicial Crisis Network President Carrie Severino said the case centered on one key phrase in the 14th Amendment: "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States.
