14:44Now PlayingNew video shown in Day 2 of the preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk, shows the car that allegedly belongs to Robinson arriving in the parking lot on UVU's campus around 8:30 a.m. on September 10 2025.
The video then shows Robinson in a red t-shirt and grey shorts walking out of the parking garage.
Another video of Robinson returning to the parking structure around 10 a.m., wearing the same outfit plus a blue backpack. Lead investigator David Hull says Robinson leaves again and goes to Chick-fil-A in the Sorensen Center.
He then moves through the campus to a wooded area before returning to campus, no longer with his blue backpack. Hull says he left campus just before 11 a.m.
A third video of Robinson shows him returning to campus again - wearing different clothing, walking with a bit of a gait or a limp.
"He appears to have issues walking," Hull said.
The video then shows Robinson running across the roof of the Losee building, crouching down and crawling on the roof and then lying prone at the corner at 12:22 p.m.
Hull says Robinson stayed on the roof until the shot was reportedly fired at 12:23 p.m. He then stands up and runs across the roof to the corner of the building.
The last video shows Robinson's vehicle leaving UVU's campus. He was stopped by police around 12:30 a.m. The officer ran his plate and identified that it belonged to Robinson and his mother, Amber Robinson.
Robinson lowers himself and jumps off the roof of the Losee building. He runs towards Campus Drive and appears to be carrying something in his hand at 12:24 p.m.
The state tried to admit the security footage compilation obtained from UVU as evidence on Monday, but Judge Graf said any alterations to the video (zooms, red circles, etc.) needed to be removed.
Robinson's lead attorney, Kathy Nester, had objected to the video being published.
Attorney for the media, David Reymann, stepped in saying the public has a right to view what is being submitted into evidence and says, "This seems like a very important piece of evidence."
Judge Graf ruled that the video would be played and may be broadcast by the media.
Hull said he believes Robinson came and went from the UVU campus four times on 9/10, the day before Charlie Kirk was shot.
