as posted by the channelDevastation along the Swannanoa River, just east of Asheville after Helene. This video was taken by our Asheville station, WLOS on Saturday. Much of the area remains cutoff from communication- without power or cellphone service.
As of Sunday, I-26 south is the only way out of Asheville and officials are asking that no one to attempt to travel into Western North Carolina.
