Once described as Vladimir Putin's number one foreign enemy, Bill Browder is a financier who had significant dealings in Russia before his lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, died in a Russian prison. Browder has since campaigned for governments to punish Russian human rights abusers.
In this interview he speaks with the New Statesman's Anoosh Chakelian, discussing Vladimir Putin, the war in Ukraine and how the world can act to prevent the conflict spreading to become a new World War.
