Before Brexit, David Cameron promised to bring immigration down to the tens of thousands per year. That never happened. In fact immigration rates are higher in 2023 than before Brexit. Immigration is a crisis for the conservatives - but an opportunity for Labour, if only they can bring themselves to talk about it.
In this video, Andrew Marr proposes a solution for the immigration problem. Keir Starmer, he says, sees it as a "route to growth". However in order to deliver they need a bold new vision. And that starts with being brave enough to be honest with voters and discuss the subject.
