Shortly after meeting with Donald Trump, Keir Starmer made a dramatic announcement which marks a clear change in British foreign policy over Israel and Palestine.
Speaking to the press in 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister said the UK government would officially recognise the state of Palestine by September, "unless Israel takes substantive steps to end the situation in Gaza" and agrees to a ceasefire.
