The Lib Dem conference saw Ed Davey and his party feeling optimistic.

The Liberal Democrat conference was held this week in Bournemouth. Polls show that most Labour voters who have become disenchanted with Keir Starmer are turning to the Lib Dems.

In an attempt to find identity, and therefore voters, Ed Davey and his party have attempted to "lovebomb middle England" and identify Nigel Farage and Reform as their enemy, according to the New Statesman's George Eaton and Rachel Cunliffe.

Anoosh Chakelian is joined by George and Rachel, who were both at the conference, to discuss.
