The scandal surrounding Prince Andrew is only the latest in a long history of ugly behaviour by the British Royal Family.
In his latest cover story for the New Statesman, Will Lloyd argues that the time has come to abolish the monarchy.
Speaking to Oli Dugmore on the New Statesman podcast, Will argues thhat neither Queen Elizabeth II or King Charles III remain above politics - citing examples of times they have intervened either directly or, more frequently, subtly. And, Will asserts, Prince William is even less likely to uphold the constitutional separation of Crown and Parliament.
Oli and Will also discuss land ownership, modern fuedalism, and the reason we don't actually know how much of the UK the Royals own.
