The Treasury Select Committee has gathering public responses regarding the impact of student debt on graduates and young people.
The committee received more than 52,000 responses to its survey, one of the highest response rates ever recorded.
Of those, nearly 46,000 said they think the level of interest and repayment terms were not reasonable.
Meg Hillier is the chair of the Treasury Select Committee and gave this exclusive interview to Rachel Cunliffe for the New Statesman.
