Statistics and studies have demonstrated the link between COVID-19 death rates and environmental injustice. This webinar will address this link from three perspectives: scientific research, front line experience, and government response. Our guest will be Francesca Dominici senior author of a much cited Harvard study on exposure to air pollution and COVID-19 mortality in the United States and Senator Cory Booker. Our community guest will be a leader from the front lines of St John the Baptist Parish in Louisiana.
Creation Justice Webinars are produced by the United Church of Christ, Interfaith Power and Light, and the People's Justice Council. They are co-hosted by the Rev Dr Brooks Berndt, Environmental Justice Minister for the United Church of Christ and the Rev Michael Malcom Founder and Executive Director of the People's Justice Council and Alabama Interfaith Power and Light.
