POTUS's choice for Acting Director of National Security, William J. Pulte, has me and other people scratching our heads in confusion. Mr. Pulte appears to be a successful financial leaders/manager but I am not sure that his areas of expertise and the operational environment he is used to will mesh well with the working of the US Intelligence Community (USIC). I am not sure that this choice was given adequate thought and deliberation given the importance of the role. I want Mr. Pulte to be successful and wish him the best of luck but he will have to wrangle the unruly members of the USIC during a time when we are engaged on overseas military conflict and the threat of terrorism (physical and cyber) is high. I do not have a good feeling about this choice. Sorry.
