The HOTLY controversial & contested topic of "SOLAR FARMS IN DELAWARE COUNTY" will be the main focus of two meetings taking place this coming week (Monday, November 20th - Friday, November 24th, 2023).
The first meeting of the week will be the Delaware County Commissioners Meeting and it will be held on Monday, November 20th. At that meeting, the 3 Commissioners could possibly vote on a "Solar Ordinance" that would outline & detail how Solar would be dealt with in Delaware County, in all situations, moving forward! This is being watched closely by all involved!
The second meeting of the week will be the Delaware County Council Meeting and it will be held on Tuesday, November 21st. The Solar Discussion has actually made the Agenda for this meeting, and the topic on hand will be reviewing the "Tax Abatement" that the Council voted on back at the end of 2021 or the start of 2022. The issue here being, that some of the Councilors feel the companies asking for the abatement might have provided information that was misleading... the idea of rescinding the "Tax Abatement" has been discussed.
Both meetings and all Solar Farm topics should draw a lot of citizens to attend and to speak both "for" & "against" Solar in Delaware County! Both meetings will be important for the all citizens of Delaware County, one way or the other...
