#105 | Who Understands What it Means to be a Public Servant | The Political Spotlight

Welcome back after the "Christmas 2023 Break!"

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and just maybe (a few good days WITHOUT politics)... NAHHH, whoever heard of such nonsense? Anyway... time to get back to work! Sooo, in this 105th episode, Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey, will be taking a look at a few different situations that viewers have recently brought to his attention. After a review and a rundown of the issues, Bilbrey will give his commentary and he hopes to get your input, as well!

(Henry County, Indiana)

The discussion kicks off in, Henry County, Indiana... where the Sheriff, "John Mark" Sproles, has a never ending need to "SELF PROMOTE"... specifically, when he is doing something he sees as "charity!" He is always so creepy!

(Lapel, Indiana)

From there, the conversation moves on to another Town Council meeting in Lapel, Indiana... where the "extremely lost & confused" Council... seem like they just CAN NOT fully grasp the idea of the "First Amendment" ...OR... the idea of being a "Public Servant!" These people can NOT stop making fools of themselves! The crazy part is... nearly everyone ever discussed by Bilbrey or Brandon or Kate or anyone else on here... has access to legal counsel. But hell, sometimes, they are worse than the elected officials!

(First Amendment Audit)

Bilbrey moves on from there, but keeping the "First Amendment" in mind... he reviews an incredibly interesting "First Amendment Audit" done in a very unique way. And Bilbrey has some interesting insight that he hadn't seen anyone mentioning!

(Muncie, Indiana)

Next up, Bilbrey proves that the Mayor of Muncie, Indiana does not understand the word "NO"... it doesn't matter what the City Council does or doesn't do... doesn't matter what the citizens want or don't want... bottom line is: if Mayor Dan Ridenour wants something... THAT'S THE WAY IT'S GOING TO BE!

(Falmouth, Kentucky)

And finally, ending with the discussion of, what is quite possibly the CRAZIEST TURMOIL of the episode, the breakdown of Falmouth, Kentucky! The small County-Seat of Pendleton County. Where the "non-partisan" Mayor is IN TO IT BIG TIME... with the "non-partisan" Council! And there are meetings, & speeches, & accusations of corruption, & officials storming out, & some staying, & citizens for, & against, & hearings, &... &... &...BULLSHIT! BUT WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON!? Bilbrey starts to dig into it all, in this episode!
