as posted by the channelIndiana State Representative John Bartlett (D - District 95) asks his fellow State Representative JD Prescott (R - District 33) if tax payers should "have the right to be able to go to government meetings and question their elected officials?"
Representative Prescott responded, by saying, "Yes! Absolutely... but they have to do so civilly."
Representative Prescott goes on to say, "HE WANTS TO MAKE SURE EVERYBODY'S FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHT IS PROTECTED!" (Guess he forgot all those things he has done to VIOLATE HOOSIERS' FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS... throughout the few years he has been in office!)
(All of this of course is in reference to Representative Prescott's WILDLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL HOUSE BILL 1338 which would allow local governments to adopt "rules or policies" dictating “behavior” in meetings and would allow the silencing, removal, and possible criminal trespassing of citizens trying to inform local government of their opinions and feelings regarding government actions. These “rules or policies" would NOT be law, but this bill would give them the force of law. This is also just a start... who knows how far the wildly sensitive, massively insecure & horribly petulant Representative Prescott will go!?)
