as posted by the channelThis short clip was cut from Episode #125 of 'The Political Spotlight'... it was a deep look at the Delaware County, Indiana Council Meeting from Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024.
Republican Councilor William 'Bill' Hughes (an attorney... that just happened to be the Council attorney for years, before becoming an elected Councilor)... is talking about the TAX ABATEMENT that was given, by the Council, to INVENERGY... for a Solar Farm Project. This has been a very divisive topic and it has been dragging on for years, at this point!
The Council is trying to determine if they are going to allow the Tax Abatement to stand or if they are going to rescind it! The public, along with Republican Councilor Ryan Webb, & 'The Political Spotlight' team feel as if something has been going on that has not been above board with this... well, Councilors Hughes is giving his findings (and the findings of the Tax Abatement Committee) to the Full Council and in it... he says things that DO NOT MAKE THE DELAWARE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS LOOK VERY GOOD!
It seems as if something fishy, or just not quite right was going on here!
Bilbrey is willing to forgive the Commissioners for all the other nonsense they have ever done... but this is something that can not be overlooked!
