as posted by the channelHost Kristopher H. Bilbrey lays out the obscene details of Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour's two day "Long Term Planning Retreat" in beautiful Steuben County, Indiana...
At some point, Ridenour decided that he would offer up the opportunity for his Administration/Department Heads & the Muncie City Councilors the chance to attend a "team building" retreat at the Pokagon State Park.
Sources within City Hall have stated the Mayor first started emailing his Department Heads & the City Councilors information about this event, sometime around May 8th, 2024. They were told that they needed to RSVP by May 15th, 2024... and the BIGGEST issue is... the TAX PAYERS OF MUNCIE ARE FOOTING THE BILL FOR THIS "RETREAT"... which honestly, seems like an attempt by the Mayor at locking the Councilors into some kind of deal where they will help push his agenda for the next 3 and a half years... rather than working to do what is BEST for the City of Muncie and the citizens that the Council represent!
Of course the BIGGEST question here of course is... HOW IS DOES THIS "RETREAT" WORK WITH INDIANA'S OPEN DOOR LAWS?
IS THIS "RETREAT" OPEN TO THE PUBLIC?
IF NOT... THAT SEEMS LIKE AN ISSUE!
Either way, Bilbrey has said if the Council attends, specifically, if a quorum (meaning 5 or more of the 9 Councilors) go to the "retreat" scheduled for Friday, June 7th & Saturday, June 8th, 2024... then Bilbrey will have no other option than to attend the "retreat" to monitor the goings-on and to document the 2 day event!
