Bilbrey and contributing correspondent Dr. Katherine Callahan are LIVE ON LOCATION in Madison County, Indiana, for their regularly scheduled monthly council meeting (6 p.m. ET - Tuesday, October 8th, 2024) at the Madison County Government Center in Anderson, Indiana.
This "should be" a regular monthly meeting of the Madison County Council. The elected Councilors, other elected officials, and County Department Heads should discuss various money transfers, expenditures, and the need for any appropriations that might have arisen over the last thirty days. The Councilors might also discuss the upcoming 2025 Budget for the Madison County Government.
However, Bilbrey is attending this meeting to observe how the elected County Councilors behave when interacting with the citizens they are supposed to work for!
Throughout the last several meetings of the Madison County Council, the County Commissioners, and the County Election Board, the various Elected and Appointed Officials have gone out of their way to attempt to prevent citizens from participating in their local government. Citizens' First Amendment Rights have been violated, and the so-called "Public Servants" have seemed to forget what their actual jobs are!
Bilbrey is on hand to make sure the meeting goes as it should!
This is The Political Spotlight's version of a "First Amendment Audit!"
Will the Madison County Council, the County Sheriff's Department, and all other "Public Servants" at the meeting do the right thing?
Will they violate any of their citizens' rights, specifically speaking the "First Amendment?"
Will they violate Bilbrey's rights?
LET'S HOPE NOT!
Here's hoping it's a calm, peaceful, and boring meeting! But if they do, go the wrong way on all this... The Political Spotlight will be there to cover it all and stand up for Madison County's citizens!
