This quick video shows the single biggest problem with the government today! And it doesn't matter if it's local government, the state government, or the national government; the single biggest issue is:
The fact that the "public servants" elected BY the people have managed to forget that they are there to SERVE THE PUBLIC!
In this quick 19-minute video, you will witness the Madison County, Indiana, Council meeting from Tuesday, October 8th, 2024. During the meeting, a topic arose concerning the possibility of the Council voting on funding "new money" for something.
Under Indiana Law, when a Council discusses "new money" issues, it must allow the public to speak on the record!
This video starts with a citizen getting ready to speak to the Council. She begins but only speaks for 39 seconds before Council President Ben Gale (R) interrupts her to tell her what he thinks she should be saying or not saying! He tried to tell her what she "needs to" stick to!
When she starts again, she only lasts about a minute and ten seconds before he interrupts her again, which causes the audience to react, which Councilor Gale does not like!
Kristopher H. Bilbrey from The Political Spotlight was in the audience at this meeting because the Council has been violating citizens' rights, being out of control, and just downright nasty for the last several months! So Bilbrey was there to observe this and stand with the citizens who are fed up with how their elected officials treat them!
Like everyone else in the audience, Bilbrey vocalized his displeasure with how Councilor Gale was acting! Bilbrey wholeheartedly stands by the fact that this was his FIRST AMENDMENT, RIGHT! And he was engaged in the redress of the Madison County Government!
As can be seen in the video, because Bilbrey was using his GOD-GIVEN First Amendment Right, Council President Ben Gale ordered his "personal lapdog," Sheriff John Beeman, to have his deputies FORCEFULLY REMOVE Bilbrey from the meeting!
Bilbrey was not free to stay in the meeting. Even though he had not been violent, he had not been yelling, cursing, or being vulgar. He was simply redressing the Madison County Council in a public meeting in a public building.
At one point, up to four deputies were involved in the arrest of Bilbrey. He was forcefully pushed out of the meeting, but once outside the council chambers, the deputies let go of Bilbrey. Under the threat of arrest, they told him he could not return to the meeting!
A few other interesting tidbits occur, so this is definitely a video to watch from start to finish, and it might even be worth watching a couple of times — once to watch it closely and then again to listen to the audio closely!
