as posted by the channelHost Kristopher H. Bilbrey missed an episode two episodes back... so he and Producer Kate are pulling a "Special Episode" this Friday, February 21, 2025, and they welcome contributing correspondent Dr. Katherine Callahan to come along for the adventure!
For this 396th episode, Bilbrey, Producer Kate, & the Doc welcome Henry County, Indiana, resident, and farmer Chris Fadely to the show to discuss the state's plans to dump tons of money into taking private property away from private citizens and messing up a perfectly good intersection at State Road 36 and Raider Road in northwestern Henry County, just south of Middletown, Indiana.
INDOT (Indiana's Department of Transportation) wants to place a "roundabout" at this intersection in the middle of farm fields and nothingness. According to INDOT's own traffic studies, the amount of traffic through the intersection doesn't warrant the change, and the people in the area certainly don't want it. Honestly, it just does not make sense!
The problem is that Fadely attended the only meeting about this project, and everyone spoke against the roundabout. Yet the state seems hell-bent on continuing with the plans. Henry County's elected officials don't favor the change, yet INDOT continues with the plans. So now, Fadley is reaching out anywhere he can to make noise and wake people up to this. He wants a conversation to happen, just a chance to have an honest discussion about the proposed project and just maybe a chance to change the mind of someone who could possibly stop this project.
