2:26:01Now PlayingThis is the third and final episode featuring contributing correspondent, Dr. Katherine Callahan, who is filling in for producer Kate, currently away on assignment. As has been the theme of the last two episodes, this 462nd episode will be a "Political Free-For-All!" Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey and Doc Callahan once again cover topics at both the local and state levels.
First, Bilbrey and the Good Doctor review all the upcoming meetings in Madison County, Indiana. Several crucial meetings are scheduled for the next two weeks, and citizens should be prepared to attend and engage with their public servants.
From there, the hosts discuss the latest Madison County Commissioners' Meeting, where Madison County Elected Clerk Linda Smith approaches the podium to outline her plan for three different construction projects set to start in and around her office, in the name of "Election Security!" And, of course, in classic Madison County fashion, many unknowns surround the projects; minimal discussion takes place, and both the Clerk and the three Commissioners seem reluctant to explain to the citizens how this will benefit them or what it will actually involve. The only thing they appear to care about is SPENDING MONEY!
Next, Bilbrey and Callahan dive into the massive BLOW UP that was the Rob Kendall and Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith conversation from Tuesday morning on Kendall's radio show on 93.1 WIBC. There's so much to discuss regarding the 30-minute exchange between Kendall and Beckwith. Listeners won't want to miss this segment!
This leads into a conversation about supporting candidates and "supporter's remorse," an important topic to consider. This transitions into a discussion about straight-ticket voting and how terrible that is!
The show wraps up with a focus on candidates in Delaware County announcing their intentions to run in next year's (2026) election.
Once again, this is a MAJOR ADHD episode! A "Political Free-For-All," but it is entertaining, and many good conversations unfold!
