YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOn Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11 a.m., the 2026 Indiana Republican State Convention began with a "Rules Committee Hearing" that many delegates were unaware of!
Joseph Bortka, a Republican activist in Indiana, submitted an amendment for the rules committee's consideration. Bortka's main push was to give convention delegates greater authority, ensure strict adherence to "Robert's Rules of Order" during the convention, increase transparency from party leadership, and adopt a more populist, grassroots approach to the Indiana GOP.
The committee ended up voting on a couple of different motions, but ultimately they passed a nonbinding resolution for the state committee to reconsider district caucuses.
In the end, this rules committee and the resolution committee that met at 2 p.m. declined to do anything with the resolution to reassert delegates' rights.
