The Governor of Maine, Paul LePage, has often made very controversial and basically racist comments, and he has again prevailed going out there being purposely stupid just trying to act like he doesn't understand history. He claimed that John Lewis should thank white republicans like Abraham Lincoln for freeing the slaves. The seeming disconnect that should not occur with anyone who has had a high school level U.S. history class, is that republicans were northerners, and democrats were rural whites. This is a joke. The parties flipped, it's not that hard to understand. Trump and Lincoln in the same party? Yeah it sounds crazy, you want to know why? It's because the parties flipped!
