Santorum: Millions With Pre-Existing Conditions SCAMMING Health Insurance Companies For Money"

Rick Santorum has made quite the asanine comment on the obamacare current state, claiming that there are millions of americans who are "SCAMMING" the unbelievably rich and wealthy health care insurance companies out of money, while refusing to provide any evidence for it. This is not a statistic, but a bullshit projection. Health Care insurance companies have an individual mandate, in which people literally HAVE to sign up for their care. They can sky rocket the insurance premiums all they want but somehow the healthcare insurance companies are the victim? Of course not, what an absolute joke. Rick Santorum is an idiot. CNN contributor Rick Santorum suggested on Sunday that it was a mistake to guarantee health care coverage for people with preexisting conditions because “millions” of them were scamming insurance companies. “Pre-existing conditions, though it’s very popular,” the former GOP senator opined, “what the reality is today that thousands, maybe approaching millions of Americans, are paying nine months for insurance. Why? Because you pay for your insurance for nine months, there’s a provision in Obamacare that says you can’t be thrown off your plan for three months.” “So, you stop paying in September until the end of the year,” he continued. “You have a right to guaranteed [coverage for] preexisting conditions. You can buy a new plan in January. So people are paying nine months for 12 months of care. And it’s happening more and more and more as people get the gig.” “Obamacare is a failure! But you’re going to need 60 votes to change preexisting conditions and other things to make the system work. And that’s the problem of repeal and replacing is you can’t do it because it’s a broken system.” Santorum, however, offered no evidence that “millions of Americans” were using Obamacare’s protections for people with preexisting conditions to scam health insurance companies. Obamacare. Affordable Care Act. Pre-existing conditions. Pre-existing condition provision obamacare. why obamacare is important. CNN contributor Rick Santorum insulted millions of sick Americans on Sunday by suggesting it was a mistake to guarantee health care coverage for people with preexisting conditions. His reasoning for this suggestion was because “millions” of them were scamming insurance companies. But never did he provide any evidence to show anyone was scamming insurance companies. Santorum claimed Obamacare damaged the national healthcare system irreparably so that Republicans were unable to “repeal and replace” it, during a panel discussion on healthcare reform. Calling pre-existing conditions "very popular,” the former GOP senator made the unfounded claim that "thousands, maybe approaching millions of Americans, are paying nine months for insurance. Why? Because you pay for your insurance for nine months, there’s a provision in Obamacare that says you can’t be thrown off your plan for three months.” Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum got his words thrown back in his face as former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm pointed out he was paraphrasing Bernie Sanders. This is how Progressives must fight. Jake Tapper pointed out that Santorum wrote a book that discussed attracting the white working class voters even before Donald Trump. He then asked if he thought the Democrats could attract these voters. "The problem with that is that is that the Democratic Party has become the party of Bernie Sanders," Santorum said. "They are the Progressives. That's who controls. To say there is a substantive difference between Perez and Ellison; there is not a substantive difference. I mean it was a style difference, sort of a connection difference. On philosophy, this is Bernie Sanders' party. And as striking as the Republican transformation under Trump is, it is even more striking in my opinion from a policy point of view, the transformation of the Democratic Party to be the party of a Vermont socialist who has been out there 'on' the far.
