As nazism is on the rise again, right wingers and Republicans are doing backflips to say that Nazism is a left wing ideology.
1) pointing out that Nazi stands for national socialist, which is meaningless, because North Korea's formal name is Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and they are not Democratic AT ALL.
2) A fake quote attributed to hitler saying that "we are socialists" really was Gregor Strasser, who actually was a political rival of Hitler and was executed as a result of his opposition to Hitler debunking it all together.
3) Single payer nationalized health care was put in place by Otto Von Bismarck in the late 1880's, over 50 years before Hitler's reign.
4) Government intervention in time of a deep debt crisis is not an attribute that makes someone a socialist, Milton Friedman, the godfather of modern libertarianism even praised and quote: "commended" Franklin Deleanor Roosevelt for implementing emergency help for the people. Does this make Milton Friedman a socialist? Also, many other conservative leaders would do things like this, such as Margaret Thatcher and Winston Churchill.
5) Women were not allowed to work, a completely conservative and right-wing idea.
6) Abortion was banned for those who were Aryans, in other words, a mass genocidal maniacal murderer allowing abortions for people he wants dead does not make him "liberal", when he banned it for the people who he thought were the "master race".
7) Private sector growth was massive.
8) Hitler used price controls which is used by many right wing leaders such as Likud party's Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, and he kept wages down, which is a conservative position.
9)Gregor Strasser who was a socialist of the nazi party before being executed for his political beliefs upon Hitler's orders, was angry with Hitler because he was courting big business, something inherently capitalist.
