Comedian Sarah Cooper, who lip-syncs Trump on coronavirus, gets Netflix special
Sarah Cooper, an actress and comedian who rose to fame mocking President Trump in now-viral videos lip-syncing his speeches and interview clips, is set to release a comedy special on Netflix later this year.
Cooper has shared a series of videos in which she lip-syncs the president's comments on the coronavirus pandemic, banning the video-sharing app TikTok and other subjects. Her first video jabbing the president went viral on TikTok and Twitter in April, according to Variety.
The Netflix special is set to be released in the fall, Variety reported. Several stars have already signed on to the project, with Natasha Lyonne directing and Maya Rudolph serving as an executive producer.
The special will reportedly feature short interviews, sketches and vignettes and focus on "politics, race, gender, class, and other light subjects."
“It’s true! I’m getting a Netflix special!” Cooper tweeted Wednesday.
