CNN Host SHOCKED By Guest Who Calls Them Out To THEIR Face...

"Channel 5"'s host Andrew Callaghan shocked CNN host Don Lemon, when he called them out for creating these "24 hour news cycles" that have to promote fear and polarization, to which CNN host Don Lemon combatted him with by asking "what does that have to do with rioters on January 6th." He called them out in a perfect way, in which it wasn't fully antagonizing, so as not to draw out defensiveness from viewers. He is absolutely correct, as this 24 hour news cycle, the concept heavily popularized by comedian Jon Stewart, creates the need to make clickbait, fear and emotion based content, because that what drives clicks. As opposed to covering the news like you should responsibly and accurately. However, this is capitalism, so then again, why the hell do people actually think that the news media's main priority is responsibility? It makes no sense. Their first priority is to make dough, not to report accurately. But somehow this is still what people think is their "responsibility"? Lol. His criticism is completely correct though.

Check out Political Scientist John Zaller, who has written the most influential public opinion book in the past thirty years, who explains that the media and elites are the ones who control public opinion. However, this is conditional based upon someone's awareness level to news & politics. Those who are the least aware are least susceptible because they don't hear anything, the ones who are the most aware are the most susceptible to elite rhetoric, and those in the middle are the prime people to change opinion, because they are moderately aware, and also not super entrenched in any position. The mainstream pattern and polarization patterns are opposite patterns that manifest as a result of elite rhetoric. A mainstream pattern is where the views of people by party are convergent and stay generally the same, as can be seen by the graph shown in the video. A polarization pattern is one in which those who are the least aware in both parties are generally speaking pretty close together, but as the political awareness rises, the opinions diverge heavily. This is where the extremes come into play, where the jan. 6th rioters go crazy.
