Plato's description of Atlantis is not vague mythology. Randall draws attention to the precision embedded in the city plan Plato records - a series of concentric rings centered on the Temple of Poseidon, whose dimensions are given with specific exactness. One stadium in length, half a stadium in width. A rectangle twice as long as it is wide. Randall identifies that proportion immediately - it is the rectangle from which the golden section is derived, the same sacred geometric ratio that Randall has traced across ancient sacred structures worldwide.

That level of geometric specificity in Plato's account is more than incidental detail. It places the Temple of Poseidon within the same tradition of sacred architecture that Randall has documented from Egypt to Stonehenge to the Americas - structures deliberately proportioned according to the golden section and oriented to encode cosmic relationships in their physical dimensions. The story of Atlantis, Randall argues, is embedded in geological events that may be more than coincidence. The geometry Plato preserved in his description suggests that whoever built the Temple of Poseidon understood and applied the same principles that every other advanced ancient culture was working with - and that Plato was not inventing a city but recording the memory of one.
