Original Yasuni Proposal Would Have Made Ecuador a Pilot Project for Green Developement

While the planet is arguably warming up because our carbon emissions, and

there is a number of energy companies profiting of it; the original

Ecuador, Yasuní-ITT initiative could have provided an example for "green

development" to other nations.

The failure of this initiative points at an important issue of our times,

the necessity to balance civilization's growth and the well being and

preservation of our planet and its biosphere.
