35:08Now PlayingWhen Freddie Gray was initially arrested, he was chased to a neglected housing project called Gilmor Homes. That’s where the now famous video of officers dragging Freddie to a police wagon went viral around the world and brought attention to Gray’s treatment.
After Gray died and the uprising began, Real News executive producer and former political prisoner Eddie Conway held a video town hall at Gilmor Homes in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood of Baltimore. There, residents shared their frustration of living in housing that had been allowed to fall into disrepair and the constant and aggressive harassment by police.
