Volunteer & Engage

This is one of my favorite features of Broken Shepherds™—the volunteer page under “engage”. I loved giving back to my community, but let’s be honest, finding real, local volunteer opportunities can be surprisingly difficult. Not anymore. Nonprofits and religious organizations can now create volunteer efforts directly on the platform. And here’s the best part: anyone within a set radius of that event, whether it’s five, ten, or fifty miles, will see it under the Volunteer tab. People can read the details and sign up instantly, right through Broken Shepherds™. This immediately creates a group chat where the organization can give additional details, last minute changes etc to their volunteer group. It’s more than a feature, it’s the heartbeat of the platform. This is the digital town square we’ve talked about, where giving, serving, and real human connection come together to build stronger local communities.
