One of the ideas they came up with years ago was to inject cattle with hormones that would make them grow larger, fatter, and faster so that they could get more money for the same product. But as companies like Monsanto pushed this bovine growth hormone, they paid no attention and didn't seem to care what the consequences of genetically modified dairy products would be for the consumers. Joining me now to discuss some of those consequences, as well as how we got into this situation to begin with, is Chris Hunt from Sustainable Table.
