5:13Now PlayingMitch McConnell once again has proven how much of a sleazebag he truly is by singlehandedly blocking a resolution that would have allowed for the public release of the Mueller report. The House unanimously passed the same resolution, as both sides want to know exactly what this report says, with each side hoping it vindicates their views. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains why McConnell may not want the public to know what’s in the report.

On Monday, the House of Representatives voted 422 zero on a resolution that would request the public release of the Mueller report. Chuck Schumer, Democratic leader over in the Senate brought the same resolution to a vote and unfortunately the vote never actually took place because Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell stood up and said, nope, not happening. So just like he did multiple times with the resolutions to prevent Donald Trump from firing Robert Mueller, Mitch McConnell's, once again, standing up for the president over the American people and saying, Nope, I'm not going to allow this resolution to pass. We don't need to see the Mueller report. Now, Mitch McConnell claims that the reason he doesn't want this resolution passed is because right now you've got a Rod Rosenstein, you've got William Bar, you've got Robert Mueller, they're going through the report and they're going to tell us which snippets we're allowed to see. You know, which ones can be released, which one's the public can handle.
And I gotta Tell You, Mitch, uh, that's a pretty crappy excuse for not saying, nope, give us the whole report. Because in the few days since William Barr sit, his ridiculous four page letter, things have kind of calmed down now and the anger that some people felt because all he said, no collusion, and I swear there was collusion there. That anger has kind of turned into more, we'll wait a minute. There's some inconsistencies here with William bars letter. He chose his language very carefully. We need to see that full report because if you think about it in bars letter, he said that Mueller concluded that no member of the Trump campaign, including Trump himself, colluded with any member of the Russian government to fix the 2016 election. No member of the Trump campaign or staff colluded with any member of the Russian government. You see? See how one little word can change a meaning?
Not to mention the fact that if this did, as Trump said, as Sarah Huckabee Sanders has said, as the people in Fox News have said, as Kellyanne Conway, I said, if it did completely exonerate the president, wouldn't you want every American to have a copy? If it truly did what they said it did, we would have woken up Monday mornings and this thing would have been in our mailbox. We would've had FedEx packages with Mueller reports coming out. We'll multiple saying given to your friends to go read it out loud. Let's have a massive book reading. Get the audio on tape version downloaded on iTunes. None of that's happened. Do you know why? Because there's things in that report that they don't want us to know. There's things in that report that make Donald Trump look really, really bad and probably really, really stupid. Consider this. When James called me back in 2016 came out and did his little press conference and said, we have decided not to bring charges against Hillary Clinton, but I have to add, Komi says she was reckless, she was careless.
