The Republicans have come up with their infrastructure counter-proposal, and it is just as horrible as you would expect. This isn't just because they didn't want to do it, it is because they genuinely don't know how to govern anymore. The Republicans have finally released, uh, an outline actually of their much anticipated infrastructure counterproposal and as expected it's pure crap,

Their proposal calls for

A grand total of 257 billion in new spending, uh, comparative course to Biden's plan, which had 1.7 trillion

In new spending.

Now that does not mean that the Republican plan is only a 250, the $7 billion bill. Nope, absolutely not as India, $928 billion

We're talking about, about essentially maintaining what is, and only 257 billion to spend on new projects, which of course obviously is a hell of a lot less than 1.7 trillion, but it is this way because Republicans suck at their jobs. Now, here is what their proposal has. Um, it allocates 506 billion for roads and bridges, 98 billion for public transit, 46 billion for passenger and freight rail, 21 billion for safety, 22 billion for ports and waterways, 56 billion for airports.

Uh, you know, that's really in the grand scheme of things, seeing

How large this country is, how many roads there are, how many, you know, rail rate railways, excuse me, that there are how many airports there are this money basically amounts to pennies.

About giving certain areas, maybe

A billion or $2. I don't know if

You've ever built a bridge. I don't know if you've ever,

You know, paved in new interstate. You're going to run through a billion dollars pretty quick. And this proposal is absolute garbage, but it's garbage for two reasons.

One, because Republicans didn't want to do it in the first place, right? They don't want anything good to happen over the next four years because it's going to make the Democrats look better. So they had to make it crappy. Second reason it's so horrible is because Republicans literally don't know any better.

This is what we can expect from them. Even if

There was a Republican president right now in Republican controlled Congress, this bill would still be this bad because that's what Republicans do. The only thing these morons know how to do

Is cut taxes and of course suppress

The vote, but that's more the state level Republicans. Once you get to the federal level, all you do at that point is cut taxes. When it comes time to actually legislate, when it comes time to do something, to benefit the lives of the American public, or to make the country better, they're

The white house when they sent them this in a memo,

With reconciliation would undermine the good work we have done and continue to do

In a bipartisan manner. So what they're doing

Is they're warning the Democrats. You know, you guys, you gotta accept a, we do because you can't go budget reconciliation and pass it without our support, because then that undermines everything we've done. And we've been such good
