Senate Republicans Whine To DOJ About ‘Unfair’ Treatment Of Capitol Rioters

A group of Senate Republicans sent a letter to the Department of Justice, whining about the treatment of the people who participated in the Capitol riot earlier this year. They are complaining that rioters from last summer weren't treated as badly for their alleged crimes, even though there were plenty of mass arrests and charges against individuals all over the country. The truth is that these Senators - including Ted Cruz, Rick Scott, and Tommy Tuberville - are trying to distract the public from the atrocities that happened on January 6th. A group of Republican senators this week have sent a letter to the US department of justice whining about the fact that the Capitol rioters are allegedly not being treated fairly by the US department of justice. The group of senators include Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Ted Cruz of Texas, Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, Mike Lee of Utah and Rick Scott of Florida. And I swear to God, anytime there's a horrible thing Republicans have done, you can bet these five are going to be involved in it. But they're telling the DOJ, it's not fair that you're going after these people when last summer you had black lives matter protesters out there, and they quote, burned cities to the ground. Can anybody show me on a map which cities don't exist anymore because they were literally burned to the ground?

A city that has no more buildings at all. Everything is gone. The whole city was ash because that's what burned cities to the ground means. It doesn't mean that a couple of arsonists came out and they burned a building. Okay. Burned cities to the ground means that the city is gone. And these Republicans who love to speak in hyperboles like this, especially when it's against these, you know, basically organization-less groups that can't sue for slander and defamation, because if they could, I promise you they would be right now. But either way, these Republican senators are saying, you're not going after those people. So why are you going after the rioters? Okay. Do I really need to explain this to you? Breaking into the United States Capitol was a federal crime, a federal crime. Really, that's the only answer I need to give you. That is the only answer I need to give you. Walking around saying that you're going to murder the vice president of the United States, also a federal crime.

You can't even say that. You can't say that without it being a federal crime, you idiots. You can't steal government property, again, federal crime. And of course we saw the idiots walking out with the podium. We know what they did. It was on TV. Contrast that with what happened last summer, where you had police actively attacking these individuals, going around in their unmarked government vehicles. You know, the big, you know, white panel vans essentially, rounding them up, taking them in to be booked. So you're sitting here saying it's not fair that they're being prosecuted. Hey idiots, they arrested people last summer, all last summer. But do you know what happened with that? Um, as I've reported in the past, most of them over 94%, I believe it was, over 94% of them have all been released or had their charges dropped, obviously, because there was no evidence that those individuals actually committed a real crime.

So the ones who committed crimes. Yeah. They got them. The ones who didn't were let go, because there was no evidence and you guys should know how the legal system works. If there's no evidence of a crime, you can't do that. But, oh well, it is what it is. Right? And these Republican senators, these five disgusting subhuman Republican senators, are going to do whatever they can to try to whitewash what happened that day and try to tell us that what black lives matter does is somehow so much worse. But we all saw it unfold on TV. We have seen the photographs.
