3:51Now PlayingA heavily armed, but incredibly ignorant, Trump supporter has pleaded guilty to threatening multiple lawmakers with personal harm if they didn't overturn the 2020 election. It wasn't that hard to catch him though: He left his name and number during many of his phoned-in threats. These people are definitely dangerous, but the only solace we can take at the moment is that many of them appear to be too stupid to be successful in their horrid plans. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

The one thing we can take solace in with these Trump supporters who have threatened action against lawmakers and the federal government itself is that they all appear to be a little too stupid to actually be able to carry out their plans. You know, that is the only silver lining with these violent idiots. And here's a great example of that. A man by the name of Ryder Winegar pleaded guilty this week to six counts of threatening to kill lawmakers. Also transmitting these threats across state lines was one of the charges he has as well. So how did they bust him? How did they find out who this criminal mastermind was? Well, the dumb actually left his name and phone number on many of the messages that he left for members of Congress. So wasn't, wasn't that hard for the authorities to find out who was doing this when you tell them who you are, as you're threatening to hang them.
This is from the DOJ news release. Let me read this. In some of the messages, Winegar identified himself by name or identified his telephone number, the voicemails threatened to hang the members of Congress if they did not get behind Donald Trump. For example, in one message, Winegar allegedly said, quote, I got some advice for you. Here's the advice, Donald Trump is your president. If you don't get behind him, we're going to hang you until you die. After his arrest on January 11th, 2021 investigators learned of a separate emailed threat to a member of the New Hampshire state house of representatives on December 14th, 2020, where Winegar threatened to pull the representative from his bed and hang him. Winegar's messages also included.
So it's clear that this individual is dangerous and again, he pleaded guilty to this. Most likely because he knew he couldn't escape it seeing is how he identified himself in the voicemails. He sent an email to these people, which is very easily traceable back to its origin, even if he tried to use some kind of fake email. So again, this is a dangerous individual. This is a threat that needs to be taken seriously. But luckily these people are so incredibly incompetent that they're unable to actually fulfill these violent fantasies that they have. And that's the only silver lining here, folks, but not all of them are this stupid. And we have seen that.
We saw that on January 6th, the department of homeland security is warning us this week that we might see violence. They've sent memos to law enforcement agencies all over the country to tell them to be on guard for August 13th. You know, the day that the Q people think that Trump's going to be reinstated. They don't have any specific threats that they're worried about. They're just worried about the overall threat of what happens when these people realize Trump ain't coming back this month. He's not coming back ever, unless he wins the 2024 election. But of course, I digress. These people are dangerous and this story proves it. And hopefully they remain as equally incompetent as Mr. Winegar here so that they can't actually fulfill their disgusting plans.
