4:18Now PlayingDuring a recent meeting of the County Board of Supervisors in San Diego, an anti-vaxxer was allowed the opportunity to speak and went completely off the rails screaming at the board. His tirade instantly went viral on social media, and his outburst was so intense that some even believed the man was just putting on an act. Whether it was real or not, the truth is that too many people feel the same way, and that's a major reason we can't get past the pandemic. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

A meeting of the San Diego county board of supervisors earlier this week, very quickly got off the rails. When three different anti-vax groups showed up, those groups are reopened. San Diego, let them breathe. And San Diego rise up. And as these people were filing in each one, got the moment to speak. Their peace. One dude came up, identified as a man named Matt baker. And well, you may have already seen his rant on social media, but if not here he is explaining why vaccines are so terrible. Take a look,
The open a pit of hell. You do not get a backseat passport on us. You know, as the population who's in control, you know that the people are the politicians. Once you get a power, you will never relinquish it. Can you break that the four feet of marble that holds you up up high in this chamber from the fate of humanity? [inaudible] how many vaccines have you had [inaudible]
Now I don't want to stereotype anybody here at all, but typically, right. I mean, dudes that look like that are usually a little bit more laid back. If you know what I'm saying, I've never seen a white guy with dreadlocks. Get that worked up over anything. So, you know, there's a first, um, this rant was so extreme. And so over the top, uh, that a lot of people on social media actually think that this might be a farce. You know, that this guy was just putting us all on and that this isn't really who he is or how he behaves. He just did it. I don't know why. Um, we don't know the answer. And, uh, I don't even know if this guy is affiliated with any of those three groups I mentioned earlier, but what we have to understand is whether this guy was sincere or not, you know, whether he was putting on an act to show how foolish anti-vaxxers are or whether he meant every word that's irrelevant, because there are far too many people in this country who feel exactly the way that he expressed himself there over the issue of vaccines.
And we have to get past that. There are far too many conspiracies out there right now about the efficacy of these vaccines, about the safety of them. You have some anti-vaxxers out there saying there's a 100% adverse reaction report to the vaccine. And then you look at it and realize, you know, 90% of those adverse reactions are just pain at the injection site. As if putting a needle into a muscle isn't going to hurt, or this is getting ridiculous at this point. And what concerns me is that, and if at this point we ever get past the pandemic, are these suddenly new anti-vaxxers going to drop their opposition to vaccines? Not necessarily the COVID one, but are they going to be okay with MMR vaccines and any other vaccines that come out there or are they now squarely in the anti he VAX camp? Because if so, this country is facing a real serious public health crisis in the near future, even beyond COVID. So hopefully, and I know this is a weird thing to say, but hopefully these new anti-vaxxers are only anti the COVID vaccine and they're still okay with all the other ones. Cause if not folks, yeah, get ready for the decade of disease, because that's what these people will be bringing us.
