Republican Representative Dan Crenshaw, in an interview with Politico, suggested that the United States should laugh at the Taliban for drawing a "red line" about the deadline of August 31st to withdraw Americans, then went on to say that we should tell them we'll kill them if they interfere with evacuations. But the interview wasn't all grandiose warmongering - Crenshaw did take a shot at conservative activist and commentator Charlie Kirk for his ridiculous conspiracies about what happened in Afghanistan. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Republican representative Dan Crenshaw had some tough words for the Taliban this week when he said during an interview that the United States, when the Taliban says, you have to be out by August 31st, first, the United States should respond by laughing at them. Here is what he said. This is during a Politico interview, by the way, he said, we need to send a very clear message to the Taliban. We're not negotiating about our deadline. That should be the message. We should laugh at them when they say, oh, well, that's a red line for us. You need to be out by August 31st. And here's the creepy part. If you to get in our way when we're extracting Americans, we will kill you. That is the only message that Biden should be delivering to the Taliban. We're not going to adhere to your deadline, even though you've already overtaken the country. And, uh, you know, if you interfere, we're going to kill you. Now I understand and this is actually me being sympathetic to Dan Crenshaw for the first time ever. I understand this guy has these emotions about what's taking place in Afghanistan. Okay.

He clearly believed in the mission over there, even though there really wasn't one, you know, lost a piece of himself over there. So I get it. I, I truly do get it. I don't agree with it, but I get why he's acting this way about it. This war is very personal to him. However, the United States is clearly not in a position to be able to negotiate anything. We lost. That is a reality that Americans have to accept. We lost. And the resurgence of the Taliban in just a few short weeks is a testament to our loss there. But, let's also talk about the fact that, yeah, even though we lost, we've extracted more than 82,000 Americans in 11 days, without a single fatality, 82,000. We're going to hit the deadline. We're going to get our people out of there. Biden said, he's not changing the deadline. We're doing what we need to do and believe it or not, in spite of the fact that the pullout was hasty, this part of it seems to be going very well. We're able to get our people out. But the media doesn't want to talk about how well it's going now. So, you know, they got to keep pushing for more war. But Crenshaw's interview here with Politico, wasn't all horrible. Believe it or not.

He actually took a moment when asked about Charlie Kirk, you know, the little Trump supporting commentator who runs TPUSA. This is what he had to say. Um, oh, because Charlie Kirk, you know, I guess I gotta preface this. Charlie Kirk says that the hasty pull-out, you know, it's all some kind of conspiracy, um, and Crenshaw said, quote, uh, a bit paranoid and it's a bit silly. It's a bit conspiratorial, conspiratorial, excuse me. When you hear an argument that Afghanistan was purposefully bungled, just for the sake of bringing refugees home, I just kind of ignore these things. That's probably the right reaction to them. So when you have a guy like Dan Crenshaw, who looks at statements being made by people like Charlie Kirk and says, hey, you're a bit off the deep end, buddy. Yeah. You know that that person has totally gone off the deep end because Crenshaw, let's face it, he's not the most moderate guy out there. He is a hardcore right wing Republican.
