YouTube Description
as posted by the channelRepublican Congressman Jim Jordan now claims that he spoke with Trump multiple times on January 6th, the day of the Capitol Riots. These conversations are key to learning what actually happened inside the White House that day and why Trump waited so long to deploy the National Guard. Jordan needs to be subpoenaed and called to testify before the committee about what he knows about that day. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Over the weekend, Politico reported that there was at least one additional conversation between Jim Jordan, Republican congressman, and then president Donald Trump on January 6th, the day of the Capitol riot that had not previously been reported. Last month, Jordan came out and admitted, yeah, I talked to the president that day. Then later on, he admitted, yes, I talked to him a couple times that day. And now we found out there was another conversation that had not yet had been reported, according to Politico. So the big question at this point is what in the hell was Donald Trump doing talking to Jim Jordan on that day? Because Jordan is essentially keeping his lips sealed about what the two discussed during their multiple conversations on that day. And let's also raise the issue here that Jim Jordan was not the top Republican in the House of Representatives. So if you wanted to get, you know, if Trump was calling to get some kind of an update, how is everybody, how are things, why Jim Jordan, why not Kevin McCarthy or Mitch McConnell? Why not one of those people that's actually in a position of leadership? A lot of Republicans actually went and huddled in McCarthy's office.
So why Jim Jordan? That Is the big question and unfortunately that's a question that right now we don't have an answer to. And I think we desperately need an answer to that question. And those are the kinds of things, by the way, that this select committee on January 6th needs to be answering or at least trying to answer. But unfortunately, as we learned last week, they're seeking all kinds of documents from everybody they can that was a member of the White House at the time, including Ivanka, because they want to determine Donald Trump's mental stability during all of this. You know, was he going to use the military to try to overturn the 2020 election. It's a great question, by the way, that actually deserves to be a part of an investigation. But not this one. Why hasn't Jim Jordan been subpoenaed yet? He's gone out there, he's made these claims, yeah, I talked to the president multiple times. Now we find out that there were even more conversations that he didn't mention and the best y'all can do on this frigging panel is to say, let's go look at Donald Trump's mental status. Yeah. We know his mental status. We know there were conversations about using the military to overturn the 2020 election.
And as I said last week, if you want to look into that, you want to investigate that, I am right there with you thinking we need answers to it. But in a different investigation, not in this one. Jim Jordan knows some things that would probably be relevant to your January 6th inquiry. Yet, he's walking around not being compelled to testify, not talking to anybody, you know, giving these vague responses when asked about these questions. Call him to testify immediately. And if you want to look at Donald Trump's mental stability, whether or not he was planning a real military coup, wonderful. I support that, but do it with a separate panel that is only charged with doing that. You're tainting this January 6th select committee and giving Republicans everything they wanted, because they're going to point to instances like that saying they weren't even looking at January 6th. They wanted to see if Trump was crazy and they'd be right. And the voters are likely not going to take too well to that.
