Marjorie Taylor Greene & Louie Gohmert Make Complete Fools Of Themselves AGAIN

Republican Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and Louie Gohmert got shot down yet again this week as they attempted to gain access to imprisoned Capitol Rioters. The duo believes that the rioters are being mistreated in prison, even though there is no hard evidence to suggest that this is taking place. In fact, one judge has already mocked the rioters for expecting to be treated like they were at a fancy hotel while in prison. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Republican representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and Louie Gohmert teamed up this week to make complete fools of themselves as they tried to enter a prison where some of the Capitol rioters are being held pre-trial because they wanted to inspect the conditions under which these individuals are being held. You know, they want to make sure that they're not being abused. You know, that they're not suffering from these inhumane treatments that they have alleged for months now. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, they've all said that these individuals are basically suffering in these prisons. Problem is they have absolutely no evidence to back this up and this is not the first time that Marjorie Taylor Greene and Louie, Louie Gohmert, have attempted to enter the prison. And both times, including the one this week, they were basically told, no, you can't come in here. You can't just walk in and say, I'm going to inspect your prison.

I'm going to meet with these inmates. You, you can't do that. That's not legally allowed for anyone, even if you're a sitting member of Congress and that's what they were told. And of course they gave a bunch of crap to the, you know, guards that wouldn't let them in and tried to claim this is undemocratic, unAmerican, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. There's no evidence at all, folks, to suggest that any of these individuals are being mistreated. In fact, one judge, which we reported on last week actually had to come out and mocked, mocked, the Capitol rioters that are being held in jail, because he said, these people are expecting a five-star hotel treatment, but you're in jail. Okay, you're not being denied medical care. In fact, there's been plenty of instances, another one this week, where a Capitol rioter who was suffering from an illness, they actually allowed him to not have to be in jail pre-trial so that he could get medical care.

So you can't actually argue that these individuals are somehow being mistreated when we know the opposite is true. We've seen the stories. They're out there. They're easy to find. But Marjorie Taylor Greene and Louie Gohmert and the rest of them want to make a sympathetic case for these Capitol rioters. Marjorie Taylor Greene has already tried to downplay what happened that day. She says, oh, it was just a riot. But, you know, the declaration of independence says you should fight against tyrants, tyrants. They weren't fighting against a tyrant. They were trying to overthrow the federal government. You know, if this were 200 years ago, um, we all know what would have already happened to these individuals, right? I mean, let's not kid ourselves. They're lucky that they're in jail. They're lucky that they're getting due process because there was a time in this country where you wouldn't get that if you were part of an insurrection. So it is what it is. These people are being treated the same as every other inmate in there.

Now, Marjorie and Louie, if you want to go out there and start talking about prison reform, the need to treat people who are in prison better here in the United States, I'm right there with you. I'm there with you all day long. Let's have those discussions. Let's pass some legislation. Let's improve the qualities. Let's stop having people abused in prison.
