Republican Senator Josh Hawley has decided to go the opposite route as many Republicans, and he's now selling merchandise from his official website featuring the image of him giving a fist of solidarity to the people who would go on to storm the Capitol Building on January 6th of last year. Hawley has repeatedly defended his actions on that day, claiming that those people "had a right to be there," ignoring the fact that they became a violent mob hellbent on overturning the election. Republican Senator Josh Hawley has found a new disturbing way to raise money for his campaign. He is now selling coffee mugs and other items from his official campaign store that feature the image of Hawley on the morning of January 6th, giving that fist of solidarity to the soon to be Capitol rioters. That is the image they have decided to sell to the public, literally selling it to the public, Josh Hawley, showing his support for the people who would go on to storm the Capitol just a few hours later. One of the worst moments of Hawley's career and that's saying a lot. He took a lot of heat for it, got a lot of crap for it, but apparently owning the libs is more important than shying away from your shame on the day of January 6th. And of course, Hawley was one of the individuals who did not want to certify certain states' electoral college votes. So he's got that working for him as well. But at a time when we're finding out more and more about what these Capitol rioters did, we're finding out more and more about the Trump administration's plans to steal the election, Hawley says, you know what, let's go with that. Everybody else is running away from it because they're smart.

But what if we tried to pander to the worst of the worst that this country has to offer in terms of voters? How about we do that? That's what Hawley's campaign clearly had to be thinking at the, at the time when they came up with this idea. Let's commemorate his worst moment ever and see if that can drum up the crazies enough to support him. Now, Josh Hawley is probably not in any kind of real danger in terms of being reelected to the Senate. Okay. Relatively safe seat. Obviously he's in Missouri, red state, every now and then you get a Democrat out of there. Right? So he knows he can get away with crap like this. And he also knows, of course, that it's going to make headlines and it has because it's disturbing. But his base doesn't see it as disturbing. His base sees this as a signal to those nut jobs that stormed the Capitol that we are with you. So the average Republican is still gonna support him. But now he might be able to rope in a little bit more of the crazies, just in case anybody was gonna primary him to the right of him. Now he's locked up that support as well. So that's what's happening with Hawley. It's truly disgusting, an absolute aberration what this man is doing, but hey, that's what today's Republican party is all about.
