Thousands Of People Have Breached Trump's Border Wall Since Construction

Donald Trump loved to brag about his "big, beautiful border wall," but the truth is that the monstrosity on our southern border has been a disaster from the start. In addition to literally falling apart just a few years after construction, a new report has revealed that it has already been breached thousands of times since the construction ended. In other words, the US government paid $11 billion on a wall that does absolutely nothing. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

When Donald Trump was running for president the first time he told us that he was going to build a big, beautiful wall along the Southern border. And then of course, plenty of other Republican candidates also adopted that language at the time, even though Trump wasn't even the first one to throw it out there, he just said his wall would be bigger and better than the other folks. And when he became president, he got his wish. He started construction of his border wall, praised it, went down did some photo ops with it said, oh man, they're never getting over this thing. And then we got reports this week from the Washington Post telling us that not only are people getting through it, they're getting through it very easily and it has literally happened more than 3000 times in the last three years, which of course comes out to an average of more than 1000 times per year, which is roughly three times per day somebody gets through Donald Trump's stupid border wall.

Three times per day, since 2019 from 19, 2020 and 2021, 3 times per day, people are getting through it. Let me read this from the Washington Post. Mexican smuggling gangs have sawed through and breached segments of Trump's wall 3,272 times in the past three years. The previously undisclosed maintenance records the newspaper obtained from the US customs border patrol, showed that the federal government has now spent $2.6 million repairing breaches to the wall between 2019 and 2021. Raw Story says here, smugglers pop into their local hardware store and purchase relatively inexpensive battery powered angle grinders and demolition saws, and then undercover of darkness, cut through the base of the 18 to 30 foot steel bollards. So they go to the hardware store. I need an angle grinder. I need a, a high powered saw, battery operated of course. They go out there at night, cut through a little section, move one or two bollards, walk right through

That is of course when they don't just outright scale it because that's also something they've been doing because the border wall from the beginning was a stupid idea and a waste of $11 billion. That's how much we've paid for it, $11 billion for people to go and circumvent it with a $30 dollar saw from Home Depot. And that, of course doesn't even mention the fact that, um, they're also watching the wall fall apart. See, that was another report that actually came out about a ago, but then this report also mentions more, the paint on it is already chipping off after just 18 months. Portions of it, where the rivers run very close to it, have already been washed out underneath. So all you gotta do is just hop right under that. And areas that are once again, close to the water, have rusted to the point where they're literally falling apart after a matter of years. Right. Just a couple years being near the water and it's rusted to the point where it crumbles in your hand. And this is Donald Trump's signature achievement and to be honest with you, I think it is a perfect metaphor of how cheap, shoddy and full of just fake imagery the entire Trump presidency really was.
