Judge Says Marjorie Taylor Greene Can't Escape Consequences Of Being Stupid

Marjorie Taylor Greene recently whined to Alex Jones that she was basically working for free because of how much money she's lost from her paychecks due to mask fines in the House, but she swore she'd get this overturned in court. But this week a District Judge actually threw out her case and dismissed every single legal claim that Greene made against Nancy Pelosi and other members of the House because, as the judge said, none of the claims had any merit. Recently, Marjorie Taylor Greene told Alex Jones that she is effectively working for free because she has received so many fines for refusing to wear a mask in the House of Representatives because as she says, she's standing up against mandates. But, either way, she whined about losing most of her paychecks to the mask fines. But she insisted, don't worry, don't worry, Alex. I am totally fighting this in court and we're gonna prevail. Well, US district judge Reggie Walton saw things a little bit differently and he ruled recently that you cannot escape the consequences of your actions, Marjorie Taylor Greene. To put it another way and this is not what the judge said, but this is how I interpret the ruling. You acted like an idiot now you have to pay the price, quite literally. So here's what happened. Marjorie Taylor Greene and her legal team presented several different legal arguments as to why she shouldn't have to pay these mask fines.

First and foremost, they said, hey, Nancy Pelosi can't change the rules of the House. Right? You know, we've got these rules in place. You can't change things because you can't change the salary of a sitting member of Congress until the next session. So if you were to pass a law that changes their salary, it cannot happen in the current session, has to be the next one. That was legal argument number one. Legal argument number two was that, hey, she's just exercising her first amendment rights. So, you know, you can't, can't punish people for that, which is, uh, pretty sure what's happening in red states across the country, right? You're passing laws limiting people's ability to peaceably assemble. So those are the two big arguments, right? And the judge tossed them both out on their merits saying, you don't have a claim here. First and foremost, they're not changing the salary rules.

This is a rule the House has instituted. It is part of their legislative duties to put rules on the House and therefore you cannot sue Nancy Pelosi for doing her job. Like that is the official statement from the judge. You can't sue her for doing her job, which of course is true. You cannot sue a member of Congress for doing their job. Just a quick exam of that. Like, let's suppose they put out some kind of legislation that you hate and rather than challenging the legislation in court, you were to say, you know what, screw it. I'm gonna sue Nancy Pelosi for passing it. Can't do that. That is not allowed here in the United States. You can however, challenge the legislation in court. The mask mandates and fines would be a part of that and of course the mask mandates have been challenged in court and all the judges have said, no, this is actually within their, you know, legal area of operations. So you can't do that. As for the first amendment thing, the judge said, yeah, that's not a thing here.

This is the rules of the House put in place by the leadership, they're allowed to do this. You do not have a first amendment claim. But let's also talk for a second about the fact that first and foremost, Nancy, not Nancy Pelosi, Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't need the money. Marjorie Taylor Greene is in fact a multimillionaire who can afford to lose that hundred and, you know, 80, whatever it is, $170,000 a year salary. So she's not doing this.
