A Republican primary challenger in New Jersey is demanding that the phrase "Let's Go Brandon - FJB" appear next to his name on the ballot this year. The state is rejecting this request, and may even try to challenge his candidacy due to the fact that he barely even got enough signatures to appear on the ballot. But this instance is just the latest in a long line of happenings that prove just how delusional and angry the Republican Party has grown. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

A Republican candidate in the state of New Jersey has requested that the phrase let's go Brandon dash FJB, be added next to his name on the Republican primary ballot in the state this year. The candidate's a man by the name of Robert Shapiro, who is described as a perennial candidate, who has run for a variety of state and local offices over the years, and who has set his sites this year on a primary challenge to representative Chris Smith. And he has allegedly gotten enough signatures to get himself on the ballot. He only needed 200, he got 203, which of course state officials are already looking at like, yeah, we may need to review that petition just to make sure. And of course the state does have rules about what can appear next to your name and unfortunately they do allow weird little slogans to go next to your name, which is very stupid, but okay. But they don't allow you to mention anybody by name unless you get their express consent to be listed on there.
So FJB, which of course means F Joe Biden is referring to him and of course there is the implied profanity along with let's go Brandon, which also for Republicans means FJB. So he's basically saying F Joe Biden, F Joe Biden. Um, do you see where I'm going with how stupid everything is right now? Because that's the point I'm at. Like my God, I've been covering this stuff for nearly two decades. I have just never seen this level of stupidity coming from the Republican party. The level of evil. Sure. That really honestly has not changed all that much. It's just more out in the open now. It's always been there. You're just paying more attention to it. But the stupidity. That's a new one. That, that, that's something I did not see coming. Right. And this little idiot, Robert Shapiro, who as they point out has run for office time and time and time and time and time again, you know, basically a serial campaign loser wants to have this idiotic little slogan next to his name. How pathetic can you people get? I mean, let's go Brandon has, has emerged as its own little cottage industry with these Republicans. What, you too afraid to say the bad word? Just say it. You wanna say it, say it.
People said it about Trump. Who cares? You know, it's just a word. It's okay. You don't have to be afraid. But also don't try to sit there and hide behind some kind of moral superiority when that's what you're doing, going around and using this kind of phrase, it doesn't absolve you. You're all a bunch of morons. And you know what though? I say, if the moron wants to have this next to his name, put it next to his name. I say, if he wants to change his name to that, let him change his name to that. Let him wear it as a badge of honor, because to a few people in this country, sure, he's gonna look like a hero. But to the rest of us, it is a very good way to let everybody else know that you're a complete and total moron. You know, it's like the old comedian said, here's your sign that says I'm stupid. That's what the let's go Brandon is now. So instead of just having their little sign that says, I'm stupid, we can just go ahead and make that connection when we see you wearing those let's go Brandon t-shirts or using the let's go Brandon slogan because smart people, people with functioning brain cells, don't do things like that.
