So, so far this week, we have gotten audio recordings of Mark Meadows talking to other members of the Republican caucus in the House. We have had the text message revelations, you know, people sending stuff to Mark Meadows, Mark Meadows responding to them. Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, Scott Perry, all kinds of Republicans in the House of Representatives wanting to take part in Donald Trump's coup. Kevin McCarthy, thinking that Matt Gaetz was endangering the lives of other members of Congress. Kevin McCarthy, of course wanting Lauren Boebert possibly Marjorie Taylor Greene banned from Twitter because of their extremist views that they were putting out there. And all of this of course has taught me one thing this week, Donald Trump's coup was in fact successful. Now his coup of course, to overthrow the results of the 2020 election, that wasn't successful in the, you know, in terms of overturning the election results. But every other part of it was. Not to mention all of these little Republicans that are currently serving as lawmakers who participated in this, who wanted to help with it, who actually put their time and effort into coming up with plan to overturn those results.

They got away with it. Nothing bad has happened to any of these individuals. Even the people that Kevin McCarthy is on tape saying he wanted to punish, talking about how dangerous they are, nothing happened to any of them. So yes, by those measures, I would absolutely say that Donald Trump's coup was a success because the people who plotted it are still in power. Not only that, but the few people that were against it, you know, your Liz Cheneys, your Kevin McCarthy apparently at one point, your Steve Scalise, they've seen their power diminished. Liz Cheney, obviously the, you know, one who's been punished the most by Kevin McCarthy. But McCarthy has allowed these extremists, your Matt Gaetz's, your Boebert's, your Greene's, your Jordan's, your Gohmert's, they've now taken over. And of course, Matt Gaetz is calling for Kevin McCarthy to basically be kicked out of his role as minority leader of the House. Possibly replaced by Gaetz himself, maybe by Elise Stefanik. But however you slice it, Trump did win. And I know that's a horrible thing to say because obviously he didn't win the battle, right? He didn't win the battle to overturn the election, but he won the war, right? He won the Republican party.

The people who wanted to help him overturn the results have risen in power. Those that were against it have fallen. I would count that as a success for Donald Trump. Kevin McCarthy is likely to be out of power if Republicans take back the House of Representatives, especially with these leaks, I don't think he's going to survive this as the leader of the Republicans in the House. I simply don't see a way that that's going to continue to happen. The extremists will take over if Republicans win big in November. Not only that, but look at the other measures of success for Donald Trump's coup. A majority of Republicans in this country, just under 70% of 'em, I think the last number was 67%, think the 2020 election was stolen. That's a victory. You may not have gotten the results overturned, but you overturned the common sense of a majority of Republicans in this country. Trump won. I know we don't like to admit it. I know we don't.
