The FBI has announced that they will likely be firing members of their organization who appeared at the Stop the Steal rally on January 6th, and Jim Jordan is furious about this. He believes that it is an attack on free speech, but in his defense, he also managed to blow up a favorite talking point of Republicans. The GOP loves to claim that the FBI was somehow involved in the Capitol Riot, but now they are being attacked for going after their members that were there. You can't have it both ways, Republicans, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Whoopi's Republican Congressman Jim Jordan has accidentally blown up one of the Republican's favorite talking points about the January 6th capital riot. And he did it this way. You see the FBI is announced that they're gonna start revoking the security clearances of the individuals from their organization that participated in the stop, the steel rally that preceded the capital riot. Okay. So just to be clear, we're not talking about people that engaged in the capital riot. We're just talking about FBI agents, you know, regular, Hey, maybe I got the day off. I'm gonna go check out the stop. The steel rally. This seems like fun. I agree with it. And the FBI has said, listen, um, this kind of goes against our whole allegiance to the United States thing that you supported these people wanting to overturn the election. So we're taking away your security clearance. You shouldn't have it if you're not loyal to the laws of the United States, right?

So that's where we're at right now. So Jim Jordan has come out and said, oh FBI, you horrible group of people. You can't do that to these individuals. Here is specifically what Jim Jordan said in a letter release late last week because the security clearance is required for FBI positions. The suspension of the security clearance means the FBI has suspended. These employees from work indefinitely, such a suspension is likely to be the first step in terminating employment. We are conducting oversight to ensure the FBI is not retaliating against FBI employees for exercising. Their first amendment rights. We ask for your personal assurance that the FBI will cooperate fully with the inspector General's examination.

Now you may be wondering, but Farn, how does that blow up? One of the Republican's biggest talking points about the January 6th capital riot. Well, the answer is simple. Who's one of the groups that Republicans have blamed for the capital riot. That would be the FBI, right? We've all heard those conspiracies. Like, no, the FBI did this. They had their agents out there in the crowd, getting people riled up and telling them go storm the capital. Remember that conspiracy theory you should because they haven't stopped it. It's still a thing that's going on right now. And now that the FBI says, okay, well, we had agents that were there in the rally and we're gonna punish them. Now. They say, no, no, no, you can't do that. These are the people that Jim Jordan is now defending that in the past, Republicans have told us they did this. You see Jim, you can't have it both ways either. The FBI was somehow involved in a false flag operation here, or the FBI is being unreasonable and getting rid of people who were involved in that horribleness of that day. You gotta pick one or the other, Jim, but I think your statement here, your letter, your talking points, that finally drives a nail into the coffin of that conspiracy theory, that your party's been pushing, that the FBI was somehow behind the capital riot.
