January 6 Committee Investigating Capitol Tours Given By Republicans Before Riot

The January 6th Committee has decided to finally look into the fact that certain Republicans gave tours to visitors on the day before the Capitol Riot, even though such tours were not allowed. One lawmaker, Barry Loudermilk, had claimed that it didn't happen, but video surveillance footage has already proved that this isn't true. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

One of the issues that people have been asking about basically since December of 20, excuse me, December of 20, what 20 is whatever happened with those little so-called reconnaissance tours that certain Republican members of Congress gave to their followers? And of course the big one was, uh, Lauren Bobert who that was in December of 2020, gave that little tour late at night. Although that one, as far as we know, kind of turned out to be innocuous, um, one of them was actually a security guard at the capital and it appeared that she kind of brought in family members, not just nobody's off the street, but there was another one that took place with Republican representative Barry louder milk, allegedly on January 5th, the day before the Capitol riot, and according to reports, louder milk brought in these individuals wearing some Maga hats, taking them on this tour around the capital.

When, again, this wasn't a thing that was allowed. So the January 6th committee has finally heard everybody talking about these things. And they've said, you know what? We are gonna start investigating this particular instance, the louder milk tour, not the BBER tour yet. They may get into that. We do not know, but they have sent a letter to Republican representative Barry, louder milk saying, Hey, you've denied this up and down. You've said this didn't happen. You even tried to file a complaint against the January 6th committee for pushing this claim. Well, guess what? Bucko, we've got new evidence that shows that you're lying to us and we can prove what we've been saying for a long time. So we would like for you to come in and answer some questions because we've got a few and we'd like some answers now. Now of course we don't know what this new evidence is that apparently contradicts Republican denials that the louder milk tour ever took place.

But the committee says they have it. The committee has no real reason to lie at this point. So this is where we're at. And again, this is an issue that people have been talking about since the capital riot. Like what about these tours that Republicans gave? Were there more tours that we don't yet know about who was with louder milk? Who are these people? What were they looking at? And why were they even there? Those are the questions that the committee is hoping to be able to answer if louder milk sits down. But considering the fact that assuming again, louder milk has been lying about this even happening. What makes us think he's gonna sit in front of that committee and tell them the truth, see their in lies the problem. So the committee better have some good evidence, right? They better have some surveillance, video, whatever it is. And that's kind of what they hinted at that they had because they were able to, like I said, describe what the people were wearing.

So if they've got video, play it better yet. If you've got video leak it, cuz you know, louder, milk's not gonna come and sit down voluntarily. So why don't you force the issue? Send that tape over to every major outlet in this country. Just see who's gonna play it, make this a national story, put the pressure on louder milk so that he cannot deny a conversation with the committee. It may seem unethical, right? Nobody likes leaks. Oh, that's pure political. I don't care anymore folks. And you shouldn't care either. You think Republicans wouldn't do the same thing.
