Louie Gohmert Whines That Conservatives Aren't Allowed To Break The Law

After former Trump advisor Peter Navarro was arrested Friday, Republican Representative Louie Gohmert went whining to Newsmax about how allegedly "unfair" the justice system is to Republicans. Gohmert actually said, "if you’re a Republican, you can’t even lie to Congress or lie to an FBI agent or they’re coming after you." Republican representative Louis Gomer is absolutely furious about the two tiered justice system here in the United States, but he's not upset about the fact that rich people are more likely to get off for serious crimes than poor people. He's not mad that white people are more likely to get off than black defendants. No, no, no, no. He believes the two tiered justice system in the United States means that there's one for Democrats and there's one for Republicans. And according to an interview, he gave the news. Max, this past Friday, Gomer is just up in arms about the fact that poor little Republicans can't even commit crimes anymore without getting arrested. Here's what Mr. Gomer had to say. it actually puts an exclamation point on the fact that we have a two-tiered justice system. If you're a Republican, you can't even lie to Congress or lie to an FBI agent or they're coming after you. They're gonna marry you. They're gonna put you in the DC jail and terrorize and torture you and not live up to the constitution there. So it's very clear. If you're a Democrat, then you can lie. You can cheat. You can do whatever you want.

I am, uh, I am a registered Democrat. Let me tell you, Louie. Uh, that's not true. If I were to lie to Congress, if I were to lie to the FBI, I would get arrested. I'd be indicted. I'd have to face trial and I'd have to prove either that I didn't lie. Well, no, that's just about it. I'd have to prove that I didn't lie. And if I couldn't do that, I would go to jail. Same thing with other Republicans, same thing with other Democrats. But you are literally whining that you are not allowed to lie to Congress or to lie to the FBI that makes you angry, that you cannot commit perjury, that you cannot obstruct justice. That's just not fair out to be able to do it. this man at one point, uh, really truly was in my opinion, just the nuttiest member of Congress we had, of course, that was before Lauren Bober and green and gates and all those folks, Louis goer is like old school nutty.

And he still every now and then tries to come back out and be the nuttiest dumbest craziest member of Congress we have. And this of course, sure. This is a crazy statement to make, but it still doesn't even rival what we see coming out of. Bobert what we've seen out of Marjorie Taylor green on Twitter, just in the last 24 hours. No, sorry, Gomer, but you can't do it. You also cannot lie. Now there's two things here. One Gomer was of course off about the fact that Peter Navarro, Donald Trump's former trade advisor, uh, was arrested on Friday for contempt of Congress. Two charges of contempt of Congress. And he's also mad that Michael Susman was acquitted, but you see with the Susman thing, they made the charges. He got to have a trial trial was fair.

The prosecution failed to prove that he lied to the FBI. The defense did a good job. You may not like it. You may not be happy with it, you know, but it's kind of the same thing with the Kyle written house verdict, whatever your opinion of, uh, of the situation is, is it relevant? Justice played out whether it was fair or not, doesn't matter. It played out it's over. That's what happens if the prosecution fails to prove their case? If the defense does a great job explaining away all the charges, there is nothing we can do.
