House Republicans are so furious about the success of the January 6th Hearings that they have announced that they'll be investigating the investigation at some point in the future. It is unclear how such an investigation would unfold, but it is very similar to what they've tried to do with the Mueller investigation by having John Durham launch his revenge witch hunt. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Republicans are apparently so upset with what the January 6th select committee has so far revealed to the public that they have officially announced that once they get their power back in the house, they're actually going to be conducting an investigation into the investigation by the January 6th select committee, much like they had John Durham do his investigation into the Mueller investigation. And probably much like John Durham's investigation, they're gonna find absolutely nothing worthwhile. Now this announcement, excuse me, it was officially made by Rodney Davis who sent a letter to, uh, representative Benny Thompson. Who of course is the chairman of the select committee. where he says, when Republicans, once again, hold the gavel. And I am chairman of the house administration committee. One of our first priorities is going to be launching a full investigation into speaker Nancy Pelosi and the select committee's circus. Yeah, because that sounds like a totally real and responsible person, right?

I mean, calling it a circus, instead of trying to use your mature words, like a big boy, you decided to go the childish route as if you're, you know, trying to posture for an audience. Almost it seems right. Here's the thing. The courts have already looked at a lot of what the committee's doing and near every single time the courts have said, yeah, the committee is well within their authority to do X, Y, or Z, whatever it is they're being challenged for in court. So you can investigate all you want. There's really nothing to investigate. This is another Benghazi. This is another Durham investigation, Republicans wasting time and tax dollars because they don't like what happened. And of course we all know why they don't like what's happening. It's making them all look very, very bad. So they want revenge. They wanna retaliate against the democratic party.

Pardon me? And this is, of course not the first time they've said this. It's the first time they've said they're gonna investigate the investigation, but it's not the first time they've made it clear that they're just gonna hog up the house with nothing but investigations. If they take back power, Nancy, Pelosi's a target president. Biden's a target. Hunter Biden is a target that withdrawal from Afghanistan is something they've said, they're gonna investigate nonstop investigations for two years because they said publicly, they have to cram four years of investigations into the next two years. Assuming of course they take back the house of representatives. And that's another reason why the select committee's work is so important and why they're on a very strict deadline, because if Republicans do take back the house in November, which they'd all be sworn in the beginning of January, the committee's gone, everything, they've done everything they've worked for. If it has not finished

By that point, it's going to disappear. Cuz Republicans will disband it. So they either have to wrap up or merit. Garland has to do something, appoint a special prosecutor and take over the investigation from there, which of course is the best course of action, but be prepared. We're gonna have a couple years of very stupid investigations. We're gonna have a lot of wasted time and a lot of wasted money.
